Little Miss

Little Miss Trizy Joy... our little independent one.
She is potty trained now and only only wears panties except for at night. I still put her in pull ups because, you know, its harder at night. They just have to be staying dry at night and there isn't much you can do to help them along. Most every night she wakes up dry but you just never know. Anyways, Tirza has been complaining about wearing pull ups at night, she says it itches, it hurts, it scratches... Several nights we have found her fast asleep with bare buns and her pull up carefully put away. Last night she told us she wasn't going to wear a pull up- in fact she wasn't going to wear anything cause "that is what big girls do." So we had to verify with everyone in the house that we all do wear panties to bed... She kind of forgot about it when I was putting her to bed and so I put her pull up on her and tucked her in. She called Mark in later and informed him that, "she is growing bigger!" Its true you can't argue with that... Well what Mark apparently missed in that conversation was that she had taken off her pull up and put panties back on... I guess she was informing him of her final decision to get rid of the pull up. We realized this later when we checked on her and she was soundly sleeping with her pony panties on:)
So I guess we are officially done with diapers/pull ups... Mark is happy, I am a little sad... until I remember how much I paid for the last pack of pull ups!

How fun and FUNNY!! She certainly has a strong will. I love it. I imagine Mercy at 3 and telling me she is a Big Girl now. I love it!!!

Good for you, Tirza Joy!! Your Auntie Melanie did exactly the same thing! She just informed us when she was no longer going to wear diapers to bed...and she must have known something we didn't because she was dry from that night on. I think it's up each girl to decide for herself, don't you agree?? I love you, Tirza!

YEAH for her!! I understand your sadness and also your joy at not having that expense. I'm getting ready to start our very last potty trainer, and I have the same emotions.

Enjoy your diaper-free-ness. Way to go Tirza!
