The Bug Killer

After 4 months of looking Mark has finally landed a job. Yes, I did say 4 months... It wasn't for lack of trying he has sent his resume to every company in town and been on tons of interviews but nothing has worked out, Until today. He dropped off his resume at this place yesterday, they called him later in the afternoon, he interviewed today and they offered him the job. It isn't the highest paying job, But he will get a work truck (which was a big concern of our because we only have one car), and the hours are great (Monday-Friday 7:30a.m.-4:30pm) and it is a real job with a real paycheck. That's a good thing!

So starting Monday my husband will be a bug man, working for an exterminator. Killing bugs, which he has some experience in doing.Just a couple of months ago he successfully destroyed a infestation of wasps that had taken over our backyard and house.

This afternoon Mark needed to pick up some paperwork from his new workplace so after he and Bria picked Sahara up from school he headed out. Mark thought that the girls would like to see where he will be working, they weren't too impressed. The girls thought they were going to get to see some bugs, so an office was a little disappointing. Mark told them he was going to get a truck to drive, which they did think was impressive until they saw the trucks. Sahara and Bria explained to me that really they were like cars but they just call them trucks and there were no tractors there at all. Not sure what they were expecting but it wasn't small sized trucks.

Yeah! I know that's a relief. And what's cooler than a Dad that kills bugs! On our trip we listened to the tape that has that song, "I Hate Bugs" on it.... I'll have to tell Mark I have his promotional song. :) The boys love it.

Any chance he can come help me out with my bug problem, I emptied out all my kitchen cabinets and sprayed yesterday...not good.

We're happy for you all...I called David out in Andhra somewhere to tell him. Our church prayed especially for you all this past weekend so he said it must have "worked". :)

Hooray! There is a really successful bug guy with a kid that goes to preschool with Carter and Griffin. Absolutely loves his job because of the flexibility aspect, and because he is constantly on the move...of course, he's also a major marathoner, so clearly he doesn't like to stay in one place very long. Better than a desk job, that's for sure!

Psalms 7:17 I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high

This was the verse of the day that I get. Truly Tim and I praise God for this job for Mark. I am soooo very happy for you both. What a relief.

Just great! Now Mark is going to have endless material to tell of his killing conquests. Remember that HUGE snake he killed on his birthday last year? I'll bet these bug are going to get bigger and more ferocious as the job wears on! Of course, we are thrilled to oblige these tales since our precious friends have been blessed with a job! Congratulations :)

I am very thrilled for you! But I have to say, Hannah....what about how you just started your blog and you already have way more commenters than Mark? I just wanted to point that out and I think I might have just made up the word "commenters".

Okay, okay....I was hoping no one would point that "fact" out.

Thanks for that Marcie!

ok, i'm gonna apologize upfront for this one. But I couldn't pass it up.

"Lookie, Lookie, Lookie, Here comes cookie...Cook's Pest Control"

sorry.

That is the most annoying pest control "slogan" in the entire world.

Thankfully your vain attempts at humor fall on deaf ears. : ) And, thankfully, although I'm sure it's a wonderful company, that's NOT where I'll spend my days...
