Just Breathe

I feel like we have really arrived! Reality has finally hit me... we found the BEACH! And it is awesome! Beautiful warm sand and cool, clear water. I love it!We had the day free on Saturday so we took a gorgeous drive down the coast and stopped in the town of Cascais, where our friends Buck and Donna live, and found a beautiful little beach area to enjoy.
The girls loved it! They couldn't wait to get in the water, it was freezing cold but it didn't slow them down a bit. There was a bag of sand toys left in our van when we got it so we took it with us and the girls spent hours building sand castles.

Sahara loved swimming in the water... she found a friend about 10 minutes after we got there. So she played with a little girl from Scotland for a long time, you know Sahara always making new friends.

Bria loved playing in the sand, every inch of her body was totally covered in sand. She did good swimming in the water as well but spent most of the time building something in the sand. She even made sand angels!

I love it! Really I just adore the beach. The ocean is so amazing to me- it is evidence of the awesome power of God!

The Princess of the Sand Castle!!!
Tirza loved the water, we could not get her out of it. She played in the sand a little but really just liked to destroy what everyone else was building and then she would go back to the water.
Buck and Donna came and met us at the beach and then we headed up to see their new apartment. We got to relax and have dinner with them before we headed home, totally worn out and happy as could be!
Did I say I love the beach?!

I've decided I need to stop reading your blog...I am becoming very jealous of your beach! I am becoming convinced that maybe God is calling me to Portugal after all...well, maybe not but I think I will put in a request to Him!! Miss you guys!!
