Earlier this week our friend, Allie, began seeing little mice all around her house. They set traps and her husband caught one but then had to leave on a business trip before all the uninvited guests were kicked out. So Mark, being the pest control guy, offered to help. Allie and I had a Bible study to go to so we left Mark with 5 of our 6 girls for the great mouse hunt. We returned to find...
Sahara and Parker about as wound up and excited as could be. They were the investigators and witnessed the take down of one little critter...
Tirza was playing totally oblivious to the action around her- we hear she was buzzed by a mouse and didn't even notice.
Chloe was bored with the events and was wanting someone to go play with her because...
Bria was terrified and was perched on the back of their couch, we learned she had been there most of the evening.
Apparently the first catch was an easy one and just when they thought they had done their job, Bria saw a giant mother of all mice run through the living room. Which is when she fixed herself on the back of the couch not to be moved until Mark carried her to the van hours later.
She told me when I got back, " Mom, I wish I were a great big cat with big teeth so I could catch that mouse and eat it so it wouldn't scare me anymore!"

Oh, and here's the update. I'm at work when I get a FRANTIC call! "MARK, come over, there's a mouse stuck in the trap and he's squealing."
So I put on the red lights and siren, stopped for every red light, drove the speed limit, and arrived in the nick of time.
The little critter was indeed stuck to the gluetrap and squealing at the top of his lungs. Needless to say, he's gone. Allie and Hannah were thankful, but are now wondering....how many more mice are there anyway???????
