(First of all let me explain that my girls and my nephews call my mom, Umma.) We were having our nightly prayer time with the girls earlier this month while my mom was visiting and it was time to decide who was going to pray first. Bria said that she had never heard Umma, pray- Ever! So Umma was happy to pray so that her sweet little granddaughter would have a memory of her praying. Umma prayed for several family members and especially for my sister, that lives in the middle east, that God would "open doors" for her to share the Good News. Bria was quiet during the prayer but the second my mom finished praying she said, "Umma, that is silly! We do not pray for open doors!" She was thinking that Umma was praying that God would literally open all the doors for my sister. The next night Bria tried Very hard to pray for open doors but could not control her laughter long enough to get it out. She is not one to give up and now is quite proud of herself that she can pray without laughing for Open Doors.

Great story! I enjoyed getting to know your daughters a little better through this story. Hopefully I will learn more.
Hilarious! Too bad Bria tries to be shy on skype. Isaiah and Bria would be quite a team right now, he insists on praying at every meal. Even if someone else does, he waits...impatiently... to get his turn.
This is such a great memory.
It's funny how kids pick up on our "idiomatic" lanaguage....
Last night Dad and I were reading Acts 12. God opened the door for Peter! You can read that to Bria and let her know her Umma is not so silly.
cute dresses! we are praying for open doors so we can move to Missouri!!!!
