Today, we said our first big goodbye. We took Grandma and Grandpa back to the airport this afternoon after a wonderful week of visiting. This whole process of moving overseas is so bittersweet. We are so excited about what lies ahead, we can't wait to get there and begin this new life we have dreamed of for so long. But at the same time it is so hard to leave all our friends and family behind, we love them!
Friday we did all go to the theater to see Horton Hears a Who. It was a really cute movie, Tirza sat through the whole thing. She loved it and didn't move the entire time- she'll tell you all about the elephant.
The big girls got Grandma and Grandpa to take them out for more ice cream after dinner and lots more game playing. We will miss them tons! Thanks Grandparents for a great week with lots of memories to take with us!

Hurray, the Grandparents are here!
The girls have been having a very exciting week...on Tuesday morning we went to the airport and picked up Grandma and Grandpa (Mark's parents.) The girls have been getting super spoiled every since, and Mark and I can't complain either:) Tuesday night we all went out for our favorite ice cream, Maggie Moo's.
Wednesday they went for a walk, yeah for warm sunshine, and Tirza fell asleep. Which was wonderful because she stayed asleep and G&G took Sahara and Bria to the park for the afternoon. SO, I had a couple quiet hours! And it just keeps getting better, that night they sent Mark and I out on a date and kept the girls home and feed them pizza. Everyone was happy!!!
Today we had a picnic at the park, and had a nice surprise that our friend, Renee, was there with her two little boys. The oldest, Hayden, is one of Tirza's best little friends so she had a blast running around with him. I got to spent the afternoon shopping, ALONE! Then after dinner we made root beer floats and fruit crisp with ice cream, YUM!
There have been lots of walks, playing outside and, of course, some fun surprises from Grandma...
Tomarrow we are ALL, yes all, off the the movies... Tirza first time to the theater, could be interesting:)

Snow Days
Snow is a big deal in West TN, we don't see much of it. So on Friday when it started snowing the girls were SO excited! They had a fun sleepover with their little friend, Addyson, and when they got up on Saturday morning it was all we could do to get them to eat breakfast before they headed outside to play in the snow. When their legs were wet and their little hands so frozen that they started to hurt we convinced them to come inside for hot chocolate!
The snow was lots of fun and very pretty! Now we are ready for some warm sunshine!

Snazzy New Stroller
We have a few things that we want to get to take with us to Lisbon, and so after our successful yard sale we are starting to check some things off the list. One of them is a new stroller for Tirza. I wanted a lightweight, smaller, but still nice enough for lots of walking, tall enough handles for Mark to use, compartment on the bottom, not to expensive and most importantly cute...stroller. I know I'm just a little picky but when we get to Lisbon we aren't going to have a car and will use public transportation, which we think is going to be fun, so we knew a nice smaller stroller would come in handy. Tirza was all for it, IF, the new stroller could be PINK! (That's my girl!) Once we got it out of the box and let her sit in the new stroller she said, "Let's go to Portugal!"

Warning: Images of Boo-boos
This weekends excitement did not end with the Moving Sale, unfortunately. Not long after we got to our small group on Sunday night, Tirza had a run in with a dog and LOST. I don't really know how the whole deal went down, it's better that way... I entered the scene to Tirza screaming and Mark holding her at the sink trying to stop the massive amounts of bleeding. Tirza calmed down rather quickly- I on the other hand almost passed out so we moved the trauma unit to the couch so I could sit and hold her. We have a friend in out small group who is a medical kinda guy so he was able to look at it and tell us that we didn't need to spent the evening in the ER, we are very thankful for that!
Tirza seems unaffected by the whole incident, I wish I could say the same for myself, she was talking and laughing as soon as we got home that night. She has told us a few times that she has a boo-boo, but it sure hasn't slowed her down. She is talking, laughing, eating, drinking and throwing little fits like nothing happened:)
Tirza and Bria were having a party in the closet when I went to take the pictures. They were pretending to take naps, wouldn't that be nice.

The day wasn't all bad, we spent the afternoon in Memphis getting our family picture taken so that we can make prayer cards. It was a nice day and we got some great shots to use... sorry can't post those, you'll just have to wait until the debut of the cards!:)

Moving Sale
We had our first moving sale today, it went great and we are worn out! We debated and debated if it was to early for a yard sale, but the weather man said today was going to be sunny and warm... so we risked it. It paid off. We got rid of so much stuff, and made a little money in the process too.
Last night several friends came over to help sort and price everything with me. It was rainy and cold last night so we couldn't put anything outside until this morning. Mark got up extra early to start moving the goods to the front yard and I joined him for the last minute set up. A good 20 minutes before the sale was supose to start the people came. They kept coming until after 2pm, that's 3 hours after we planned. But people kept coming and buying so we kept selling.
Our friends really helped out today too... Mari brought doughnuts, Jason brought more stuff, Ellen and Cindy bought stuff:) It was freezing in the morning but the sun started shinning on us and it was a beautiful warm day. We enjoyed being outside and getting a lot of things out of the house so we can sort and pack the rest of "the stuff."
Tirza really figured out how to make the big bucks... she was having a hard time letting a toy of hers go... she started crying and throwing a little fit. Me, being the extremely sympathetic momma that I am, told her that it was in the yard sale and if she wanted the toy she would have to buy it. So she went and told her daddy and our friends that she had no dallas (dollars) to buy her toys. Our friend, Jason, felt bad for her and forked out the "dalla" Tirza very happily ran around for the next hour showing off her $$$! She didn't care one more thing for the toys, she had made some money:)
